Understanding review verification

A starting point for using the directory thoughtfully.

Verification belongs to the review.

A verified-purchase label means transaction evidence has been checked for that review. A verified-service label concerns evidence of a service engagement. Neither label certifies product quality or makes every statement in the review independently proven.

Accounts and verification are different.

Guest ratings are welcome and do not require an account. Creating an account does not automatically verify a purchase. Until the necessary evidence has been reviewed, the review is labeled unverified. Verification cannot be purchased.

Companies can respond.

A company can request a public response or flag a concern. It cannot edit a customer’s rating or remove criticism through its company account. The platform applies its moderation rules to both affiliated and unaffiliated companies.

Share relevant details.

Describe your own experience, include useful pros and cons, and disclose employment, ownership, affiliate relationships, or incentives. Do not publish private contact details, payment information, unsupported allegations, or medical advice.
